In honor of the five-year anniversary of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s passing this Friday (November 13), XXLMag.com took ODB’s former A&R and longtime friend Dante Ross on a field trip to the Brooklyn Zoo, located in Prospect Park, to hear his craziest memories of the beloved Wu-Tang rapper.

The first clip finds Dante explaining one particular X-rated rendezvous Dirty had during a studio session for the recording of his debut, Return to the 36 Chambers.

Sir Juice, Super Rockin Mr. Magic or Lucky was certainly befitting the man who was destined to become MR. MAGIC the person to introduce the radio airwaves to hip-hop, a genre that was in its infancy and blaring from the boom-boxes of almost every youngster walking the city streets. In the latter part of the seventies, Jon adopted the m moniker Mr Magic and created the RAP ATTACK on a New York public radio staiton called WHBI. The show aired on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays between 2 am and 4 am but this didnt deter fans who obviously yearned for their beloved art form to be embraced b mainstream radio stations. The show was groundbreaking and news of Magics show spread like wildfire.
